Police Dog Blues

Hi, this is my acoustic guitar blog. I’m certainly not the best, but I try.   This starter blues was written by Blind Blake  and recorded in 1926.

Blind Blake rattled off his pieces with amazing up tempo bounce often compared to ragtime piano and known for his ‘sporting right thumb’.  Little is known of him, except that he recorded 80 tracks and died of pneumonia in 1934. A major influence on many other guitarists – Rev.Gary Davis, Ry Cooder, Bob Dylan and anyone who takes this guitar genre seriously. Definitely one of the top names. Police dog blues is probably his most covered piece.
